Fresh Pickin’
There is nothing better than a fresh, fat and juicy tomato – unless you add some bacon, lettuce, cheese and bread! You don’t have to travel far down Highway 72 West from Huntsville, Alabama toward Athens to find several produce stands along the winding road. My husband and I recently stopped at Isom’s Produce and found some of the most delicious produce we have ever put in our mouths. Watermelons, cantaloupes, tomatoes, green beans, shelled purple hull peas and any type of pepper you can imagine were just a few of the treasures we took home. Once you have experienced the difference between fresh home grown produce and store bought…you will never go back! Unless you have to for convenience – but you will always long for the way you know the fruit or vegetable should really taste. Take a drive one Saturday and experience the difference for yourself!
